Learn how to sew an easy Halloween trick or treat bag in two different sizes!
This trick or treat bag is an easy afternoon sewing project that finishes with a boxed bottom.

Easy Halloween Trick or Treat Bag Tutorial:
Size Small:
This small trick or treat bag is the PERFECT size for your toddlers.
Small Finished Size:
13″ High by 9″ Wide with a 4″ deep boxed bottom.
You will need:
- 1 Quilters Cotton: 3/4 Yard (this one will have enough fabric for the handles)
- 1 Quilters Cotton: 1/2 Yard
Cut List:
- Cut from smaller piece of fabric, 2 panels at 16″ High by 14″ Wide.
- Cut from larger piece of fabric, 2 panels at 16″ High by 14″ Wide.
- Cut from larger piece of fabric, 2 pieces at 4″ by 18″, these will be your straps.
- Cut 2″ by 2″ Squares from the bottom two corners of the panels.
- Attach the straps measuring in 3.5″ from the top edge.
Size Large:
This large trick or treat bag is an ideal size for your tweens.
Large Finished Size:
16″ High by 11″ Wide with a 6″ deep boxed bottom.
You will need:
- 1 Quilters Cotton: 3/4 Yard (this one will have enough fabric for the handles)
- 1 Quilters Cotton: 3/4 Yard
Cut List:
- Cut from smaller piece of fabric, 2 panels at 20″ High by 18″ Wide.
- Cut from larger piece of fabric, 2 panels at 20″ High by 18″ Wide.
- Cut from larger piece of fabric, 2 pieces at 4″ by 21″, these will be your straps.
- Cut 3″ by 3″ Squares from the bottom two corners of the panels.
- Attach the straps measuring in 5″ from the top edge.
